the wierd chars are japanese chars. My xc logs everything in japanese, since I've set my whle sys' lang to japanese.

the reason to f*ck being "censored" as scandisk is as follows:
the equalient of ScanDisk is called "fsck" in Linux (FileSystem Check). svara used to say fsck instead of f*ck.. then either fabs or me started saying "scandisk"...
