lol, well Linux is great and I hardly ever boot windows now I've started ClanLib, GTK and taken a look at SDL so I'm really kind of moving to Linux

I'm also only booting Windoze for playing CS (CounterStrike) and do things in japanese . Developing OpenGL stuff in Linux , SDL , and ofcourse C , and most allday work is done in Linux on my PC =)

Kagez, i'm not that far yet, i play cs from win, and the ton of other games i have on win, too. But nearly half of those games are said to work with linux... well we'll see... but i know now already that i can never completely give up win... dunno why i think this...

You got games that run on Win AND Linux ?? Cool ... never heard of such games ... isn't is that these games are also out for Linux , and not that the Win version worx under Linux ?? Just though so ...

ummmmm maybe thats right, yeah, but i read in a gaming magazine called Gamestar(its german) that Age of Empires 2 supports Linux... well, i will test that and tell u if u have to get a special linux version or not

i really don't think you can play AoE 2 in gnu/linux... perhaps with a VM, but that's not really gnu/linux.
AoE is from M$ and they'll never port anything to gnu/Linux.
