well its good you locked that Microsoft topics, but i just have to add something.
I dont want to be misunderstood
"yes, you are right but lbYdl was hailing Microsoft for bringing ease of use to the great public"
i wasn't hailing MS, i dont even think they are good or anything.
but still i know a lot of people that cant even learn to use windows properly.
Now just ask yourself a questiong :
What would be if you sat those people in front of a computer with some other os?
i agree with most of the things said in the discussion but youll have to agree with me that microsoft is most responsible "computer in every house" revolution.
ps. don't reply
btw. lock this topic too.

we've ended this discussion, and nobody should add _anything_ to it anymore, since it will only end in a seemingless flamewar... I also still have loads of things to say, but I think in some cases it's just neccessary that you keep it for yourself, even if you've got attacked personally. Else flamewars would never end in this world ...

lbYdl: okay, sorry for the misinterpretation then. Yeah, I guess microsoft played a major role in the "computer in every house" revolution but somehow I don't feel that I should be thankful for that..
I'll try showing my dad a simple KDE environment.. I might make him switch actually .
ok, now I'm locking the topic... thx for the discussuion though
