I'm searching for a webbased IRC client, so I can chat at #ypn at school (like now) [addsig]

Try CGI:IRC.

Just google for a place where you can use it and specify server and channel

Else, install it on your comp at home and go there from school...

yeah... that gives me a nice idea for partyfish hehe... sorta bloat but whatever: the messageboard checks for some very common words in the post and suggests, before it posts the thread to the board, past threads... like... "You're question might have already been answered in these threads(list of threads)"... i know it's bloat and would prolly be slow, but if it did work, it'd earn partyfish some coolness points

well, what you describe there is a search engine (in some form), and it is in work for partyfish

well, what i meant was a search engine that somehow finds out what kind of question the user was asking and then suggests some possible answers. yes, just typing a few keywords into the searchengine would probably do the same, but, it isn't automatic.. whatever, it'd probably be not so nice for the server to make a full search everytime somebody posts somehting either

no, not really
we should encourage the users to use the search engine before they post some stuff
