There is a virus floating around that sends itself out to all on your mailing list (if you use messenger or address book). It is disguised as a Windows standard file. Here's how to get rid of it.

Scope out (search for) "jdbgmgr.exe" and promptly delete it. Microsoft never ceases to amaze me (though this doesn't ) [addsig]

Um, the file I said is a virus really isn't. Heh heh. You can get it back (and you should) by downloading the Java Virtual Machine from MS' website. [addsig]

It was some hoax e-mail that was going around. It said that the Java Debug Manager was really a virus in disguise. Stupidly I believed it. Something I read said you had to download the JVM to restore it and get things working correctly. [addsig]
