marquee? moving signature? where? i can't see anything
Posted by MoX on 00:29:00 04-24-2002
fsvara: Yeah, now that I'm back in Linux and Mozi i can't see it anymore either. Look at kpyro's signature, it is in a tag. IE interprets it as a scrolltext automatically. Other browser just ignore it.

marquee is a non-standard tag. it's nothing operating system related, I don't get what it has to do with the Linux kernel.
by the way, marquees are ugly too . no kidding, it's annoying. do you use those on your websites?
Posted by fsvara on 05:42:00 04-24-2002
well, a browser that interprets a standard nicely is good, but a browser that does even more and interprets the html as the user wanted it to look is even better
of course it has nothing to do with the linux kernel, but you know so many people mean "gnu/linux + apps that come with distributions" by "linux"...

Hey, I dont need to post MoX summed up my feelings perfecto
(-:
Posted by KaGez on 20:09:00 04-24-2002
why do you do so then?
anyways, I also don't think that you can blame it on linux... blame it for IE for trying to make some crappy standards

There are no standards, within exception, I think thats a problem too, try programming DHTML, its just too hard with each browser supportin different code!
Though what about Netscape with its <blink> Blink Tag</blink> only Netscape users, mabye Opera, cant mem will see that effect.
