I now own SuSE LINUX 7.2 Professional!!!
K.D.E. all the way!

SuSE is a good distro. The administration-tools are good in my op and it's known to be very stable and secure.

I love my Debian !! =)
I dun like all those graphical shit ... everywhere there are wizards that wanna help you ... that's one thing pissing me off in Windows , AND it also starts in SuSe + Mandrake ...

Oh, SuSE isn't that bad. Yast2 is graphical but it's not like they have penguins flying across the screen Mandrake is in my op a little too graphical and userfriendly. All those drakes! And when installing the standard gnome that comes with it, you get a really cute starting screen, yuck

I had 2 distros yet. SuSE 6.3 and RedHat 6.1
(updated to 7.0). I don't like both. SuSE
claims to be secure. But just for a laugh I
lately heard of a 3 year old
BOF-vulnerability in dip which is still
released in SuSE 7.0. YaST is a good admin
tool compared to linuxconf. But YaST2 is
just shit in my opinion. And those KDE
things.. Personally I hate KDE and Gnome.
(Gnome less than KDE) Those are comfortable.
Sure. But who needs this crap? I still don't
know how to disable this goddamned online
help which appears if your mouse pointer
moves on the titlebar of a window or
something.
Do you know what's really fun? Using pure X-Windows. Just a simple xterm and no frames
and things. How many people using Linux still
remember the good old X-mouse-pointer??
I don't like this society-oriented
development of all distros.
I think the directory tree of SuSE is too
complex.
What I hate most is this f***ing (sorry) RPM-***... You can't even install sources where you want them. In that point Debian
wins my heart.
Greetings.

Well, I like SuSE 7.2, but the GUI messes everything up, it's harder with GUI than without.
I'm still really new to LINUX and UNIX,
but maybe when I become a 3e0067(good hacker) at it, i'll then use bash and unix commands.

I dun like YaST, nor YaST2 .... both crashed on me before and din't even want to recorgnize my old i810 chipset , so I couldn't even run X . I setted it up with XF86config , but then YaST made all chages backward ... I dun like Mdk and SuSe (RH in general) , because they get too graphical . OK , good for newbies (I loved it when I was new to linux too) , but now I hate it , so I went over to Debian and built up my "own" system . I got everything I need , no crap I REALLY don't need . That's impossible to do with SuSe , Mdk etc. They install ANY crap to your HDD .
and , btw, I LOVE linuxconf , so nothing agains it , ok even if it's from RH

Text-only. That's OK. It's cool. It's fast.
I like it. I mean in this time there aren't many text-only sites. But I althought don't like this commerce-shit and this pseudo-beauty backgrounds etc.
I like it simple
Have a nice day!

hehe, but seriously, links is a very efficient browser...
i use it a lot when i just want to get to content and don't need X or anything.
Posted by bandij on 19:41:00 07-14-2001
Links is cooler than lynx. It can handle frames and tables very well. You also have some bugs (newline-bug?) when downloading with lynx. I like links' background-download-feature.
