I'll post it here, for all of you, so that you will see it one day when you come along this page
gniibe told me to take care of the email addresses of youngprogrammers.net.
The accounts will be POP3 accounts, and I will make the following accounts:
fabs@youngprogrammers.net
svara@youngprogrammers.net
peter@youngprogrammers.net
moxx@......
kage-chan@....
support@.....
now, about the last address (support@...):
this will be a address that will forward the mail to all the other 5 addresses, so that everybody gets the support mails and can try to help out and reply.
In order to create a account for you, you will need to send me a password for your account.
Later, when the accounts are done, I will give you details about server, username and stuff.
I've been given root access on the server that is responsible for this, so if you want a password change later or something, just give me a note and I will change it.
If you give me your passwords, PLEASE DON'T POST THEM IN HERE!! Instead, send the mto me by mail:
kage-chan@users.sf.net or daniel@kn.catv.ne.jp
And, another thing:
I've been made responsible for the stuff that we are running on mule.m17n.org (the httpd), so please keep the things in there bug/sec hole free. If you need dbadmin (phpmyadmin), extract the tarball, do what you need, AND REMOVE IT IF YOU'RE DONE WITH YOUR WORK!, cuz if it is in there, and somebody tapped your or the server's line, our DB will be doomed, which we absolutely don't need.
Have a nice day

isn't there some way to change our passwords ourselves?
Posted by fsvara on 20:38:00 06-07-2002
hm, don't get me wrong on that last post, it's not that i don't trust you, but i'm a bit paranoid about my passwords... i use a lot of them for different things...

Same for me...lazy as I am I only have some three "main passwords" for virtually everything I do...
Know this is dumb, but...I'm just too lazy

I'm the only one who has/will have access to that box.
I don't know of a way how you could get your password in there except for giving it for me and I insert it... you could maybe also give it to gniibe...
and, I think you can remember 2 different passes
anyways, I'm still reading the docs on how to configure postfix (the mail server running on that machine), so I'll inform you when I've got my own account running, so that you can send me the passes.
And, if it makes you happy:
I will delete all the mail containing passwords after I've inserted those passes to the server, so I probably won't remember em all

Hehe...
I'm not afraid of you breaking into my comp, KaGez!
I could remember the pass, so just let me know...

ok, I'll read some tutorials and manuals about postfix, and then I'll start configuring that stuff... hopefully I'll get things going today.

just don't forget to turn off anonymous relayikng or the host will get blacklisted pretty fast

looks like it's not enough to read about postfix, since it's only a smpt daemon... I still need to find out which pop3 daemon is running on that server...
