Linux >> Setting up pppd and routing in Linux and ppp in Minix.

Haven't you always wanted to set up a web server in Minix, but you didn't have a NIC that's supported by Minix? Or is your second computer an old 286 or 8088, that most systems doesn't even want to start on? Then my new tutorial is something for you!

Everything you need is a computer with an 8086 or newer CPU, at least 640KB of memory, RS-232 port (normal serial port), a serial cable and a Linux computer to route. What can you use that computer to? Web server, ftp server and IRCing are a few possibilities.

hehe.... most ppls use those SMP high-end PCs for servers because they just have too much money! the 8086 are totally enough for a mass traffic server!

Peter: I always have too much time

And yeah, it's quite cool. Much better than I thought at first. Another good thing is that Minix forced me to learn vi.
