I guess this is nothing to fight about, this section is dead anyways, but I don't like the name "Quick Basic/Visual Basic section". There are many, many, many other BASIC variants, compilers and interpreters.

I learned to program in QB, but after about a month of QB, i began using Asic instead.

Well, I don't really know the difference between Basic and Quick Basic, except for the fact that the latter is a copyrighted product of Microsoft . fabs, you've got the admin account, could you change the name of the section?

Why not BASIC/QBASIC ? I like QB better than VB. QB is at least not a serious program developing tool, it's a toy. VB is a joke. I don't think BASIC should be used for making real programs. Maybe for quick and dirty programs for internal use and small games, but not real programs.

Hm, Windows is no programming language. VB is. The "Windows" issue is included in "All about computers"... Yeah, I know, we've got a Linux section but hey, that's slightly harder to learn for beginners than Windows...
There's also a bigger difference between Basic and VB than between Basic and QBasic.

There are free VB-copies, like Rapid-Q. Of course you shouldn't have a Windows section, but naming this section after VB would be like naming a "General OS" section after Windows!

Yeah, a lot of people start out using Qbasic because it's free and easy. I started out with Qbasic, too. You can't skip it.

ja, gute idee, das muss ich grad dazuschreiben, das die sprache die hier zu sprechen ist *englisch* ist...
was wird denn sonst aus der schoenen internationalen kommunikation, und englisch is eh die sprache die die meisten sprechen.
Wir koennten auch alle versuchen russisch zu sprechen, aber das geht nunmal nicht so gut, verstehst?
