Anyone ever use these?
I use to use BeOS, I liked it, it had support for my winmodem. Hmm, I might download it now and use it again, it was really fast. Programming for BeOS is so easy too, it is sort of like MFC, there is a class for everything.
I downloaded QNX once and installed it, but my mouse would not work with it, it looks nice though.

i had QNX installed here, but it has almost no support for hardware. My monitor was running at like 60Hz, which is very uncomfortable for the eyes. My network card didn't work at all, so I really couldn't do much in it.
It looks nice, tho.

yeah , except the bad Hardware support QNX looked also very good for me ... let's see how it grows in the future

I tried both a while back. They installed cleanly, and were fun to play around with a bit. I'd say BeOS was quite a bit more useful as a workstation OS.
Apparently some people (http://www.yellowtab.com) bought the rights to modify and redistribute BeOS before Be sold it to Palm. They haven't released anything yet, but their web pages are updated pretty frequently, so it'd seem that work's getting done on it. Then there's the OpenBeOS project (http://www.openbeos.org), too. I'd like to see those projects succeed, since I enjoyed using BeOS.

Haven't heard quite much of both candidates lately. Is QNX still alive at all?
And, I still don't get it, but what the heck does Palm want with the BeOS sources? I still don't get it :/
