KaGez: Personal Web Server is simply a program to run ASP files off your computer. There are no security features at all. If you were talking about Windows 2000/NT/.NET Server that's an entirly different story.

You should point it out then, that it is no real server, but just a program which runs ASP files, and does absolutely nothing more. Not everybody uses windows (actually, most don't )

I just read Neu[Mann]'s reply to my ASP tut, the one that I wrote several months ago. For starters, I don't have money for ANY version of Windows, I'm using the one that my parents bought. Second: I am clueless when it comes to IIS. This was just supposed to say how to run ASP scipts off one's own computer for learning\testing\etc., not actually use it as a server, that would be stupid.

Um...
To test asp you need to run a server, anything that inturprits and sends out text, or displays this is ultimatly a web server, or a web server with built in browser.
(-:
So, Its a server, a real one, but it might not be the most secure.
Thats it...
say no more
