Maybe we should have a "Flamewar" forum. That way all topics that get "flamish" can be transfered there...that way people could flame about whatever they want and no one will have to pay attention. Just an idea. [addsig]

No, banning people who talk shit is not an option. Banning people who repeatedly attack others or shows other grave misbehaviour is a necessity, but people who are just being idiots don't need to be banned.

Then again, if someone is here just to troll, it must be seen as grave misbehaviour. We have to presume that everyone is talking somewhat seriously on our forums.

I am strictly against the idea that people with a certain number of posts have more rights than other. Everybody can increase his post count with useless and superflous mails. Posting much does not mean anything.

Only people who truly did something for the community should get special rights. [addsig]

Hmm, a flame war forum sounds pretty lame to me. What is the point of posting flames to a bulletin board? To get people mad at you? It doesn't make a lot of sense. Why not just have timed bans for people who are really acting out of line? Just an idea.
