Subject: Dieing to Learn

--> Hi, Thanks for your reply. I found your site at HREF="http://www.askjeeves.com/"-->Ask Jeeves where it was along many
--> others in a search on Qbasic. Many other sites did not respond to
--> emails,questions,
--> or any input. So they are no longer on my list. I,m not really sure you would
--> call this
--> a level or not. I've been missing around withsomthing like the calculator and
--> printing text but that bouts it. I've also been trying other commands that
--> are listed in the commands list and continueing to get and expected statment
--> pop up. I'm lost at that
--> popup. The only thing I can get it to run is the cal. and print commands. I
--> once got
--> it to show a .pcx file, then the poewer goes out all over town. If the power
--> was to come back on when what I was working on was still fresh in my head. I
--> probably
--> continued. Now it seems as if I cant find these commands again. Is it
--> possible to
--> find this DOS hlp file in a windows format? And where may I find a detailed
--> document,or tutorial on all the commands? I have lots of questions to ask. I
--> am currentently Dloading Mirc as I write my email to you. Really desire to
--> learn programming. Well I think that could do for now. I dont want to become
--> a bother.
--> Hope to meet you in a chat soon.

Hi!
Oh, as I said, I'm very very happy that you're interested in programming, and maybe to program with us too. So you're no bother at all, it's the exact opposite .

Well, I can't do many things in Basic/QBasic, except for some really simple programs. But that includes some basic knowledge about variables, loops/iterations and conditional (if/then/else) blocks - these three that are fundamental parts of any programming. You can get some idea about these with the excellent tutorial I've already mentioned - Fabs' "Becoming a Programmer" tutorial: http://www.ypr.34sp.com/show.php?tutorials/become/intro .

Thanks again for joining us and I hope you'll hang around with us

Good luck!
