Scared me, too. But it is still very likely that it won't happen this way, at least not as horrible as it was described in that post. International laws and all these legal stuff will make it very difficult.

Mox: Of course, the author is quite pessimistic about it - I really do hope that Palladium fails to become industry standard. I don't know what will happen and how, but it's just too much of a scandisk-up.

but.. that's just were the big buisness wants to go.. no online freedom, total control, online law enforcment and the shit = more revenue right.. and you can bet those people who want that are aggressively lobbying politicians to pass laws... and they have the money.
not long ago on /. there was a story about some american authority stopping the development of their own secure linux distro after some micorsoft people came to visit them... because, they "didn't know what it really meant to publish code under the gpl".. unamerican, and stuff.... pah. assholes.

well, if they really do this pallalalala stuff, I'm a mac user. I think the Mac platrofm will resists to implement this for quite a while. That is, if it gets reality, which I highly doubt. If it's really gonne be applied, oyu could also walk naked on the streets with a big sign containing your diary and other personal stuff. That's only my personal op tho

its not just a new OS, its tied to a motherboard dongle basicly.
Which dont exist, its still in very basic stage, so i dont beleive these are real pictures.
