I'm having a terrific time installing Linux on my nice new iPAQ - go for it! http://familiar.handhelds.org is useful, as well as http://www.pocketlinux.com =)

You can check out http://www.handhelds.org for more info. Runs X. =) QT, even. Practically anything that's been ported to the ARM processor. Oh, and I'm playing with PocketLinux, which lets me develop with Java and XML.

Don't buy it if it only runs QT
Buy it if it runs GTK

KaGez: can you suggest me a model that does? I'm quite interested in this kind of stuff and I might buy some kind of a palmtop. Qt is cool enough, but if there is one that supports both, I'd be a lot happier .

Peter: I don't have the link right now, but I've seen a shot of iPaq running GNOME. I'll post the link here as soon as I find it again
