Is it just me, or do we need a forum index for Java???? just wondering.

There's a big thread about it here:

Java is pretty cool...

yes my biggest Thread here.
Hey guys (or hey java freaks):
wirte somethink there and say that we need a java board *lol [addsig]

I saw it, but that boards kinda drifting. If we really think Java deserves a chance(which i do) we should have everybody put something together on one of the boards. That one you gave me isnt exactly all-Java

We have more VB people here than Java and that board is hardly active. Not to mention look what happened to the Windows forum. [addsig]

hey maybe its true but you see that there come more java geeks to the ypn like Neonbjb and Sonarman.I hope more java guys come so we will become a java board (i hope) [addsig]

I also had some hope for the Windows forum, since many in here also use windows... but, as dxprog said, by now it's more that just dead. For now we will not add/remove any forums, since partyfish is approaching. In partyfish we can reconsider this discussion. Is that OK with you guys?

I cant believe there isnt a java section!! I would have thought that there are enough of us out there to deserve our own forum section??

make a stand, fellow java programmers!!

When you say fellow Java programmers you mean Henning. Besides it's to close to the release of partyfish to add to this now. And secondly: Take a look at the VB forum and there are way more VB people than Java people (you and Henning). Not to mention the huge uproar over the Windows forum and nobody ever posts there either.

Well from just looking at this thread I can see that there are more Java programmers than me and Henning, so I think you shoudl re-think that statement.

And as for VB - it's pants!! I did VB at college and found it the most boring language I've ever come across - and I've done a few languages!

Still doesn't constitute the forming of a new forum. (Check here for the whole discussion on that) How in depth did you go? Forget the form stuff, when you're working with nothing but code, now that's fun!

Hmm, I agree with craigbaxter. As always I can only underlinemy usual statement, that I do not know why we do not simply create some new forums if there is a (little) demand for it. I already thought about a nice solution for the upcoming partyfish, offering users the possibility to create new forums.

Besides, I'm a Java programmer, too, though I'm only using it because I have to at university.

well, why not create a XML section too?!

Posted by Henning on 21:56:00 01-16-2003
I just can say that the ypn op's should creat an java board when we use partyboard.
@KaGeZ: just remember that XML is some of the web-programming board collection [addsig]
