yes, it = smerdyakov....
he's simply stupid... he talks about thinks he doesn't know, and bashes plans he doesn't even know.
So, I please you all, simply ignore smerdy if he tries to bash you.
He's simply a poor looser, who weares his nose too high. So if he bashes the YPN or partyfish or anything, put him on your ignore list or get rid of him in other ways.
Simply just don't argue with him, it's hopeless, ad you won't get anywhere.
Thank you

yeah he was quite stupid today... but i agree with him that there should be some places for people to see partyfish beta 1 running, wihtout installing it "at home"... it would certainly make more people look at it... and as esr (tho i don't like to quote him, i don't like him ) says "many eyes make all bugs shallow"...

well, I simply don't have my PC running 24/7, so I blocked all http requests for partyfish on my httpd. If somebody with a 24/7 pc will make it available to us, I could agree with that. But, we still don't have such a guy, and on mule.m17n.org we have only 1 db.
If you know somebody who could offer that stuff for us, ask him/her please

I checked it with IE, and the logo isn't transparent - can't we do something about that? (I know it's a minor problem for now, but it's an important detail of the interface)

making it a gif is only way, as ie dont support png much, but kagez does not want to use gif, all he wants is png, so thats how its goin to stay

sif anyone uses IE anyway.

IE sux. Somebody who knows at least a bit about computers uses Mozilla or Netscape. Anyways, we are not going to use GIF, since we would not be able to compress the images when we use GIF. I want to keep the site legal, so PNG is the only solution for transparent BG. ok, we _could_ (theoretically) use uncompressed GIFs, but have you ever looked at the filesize of non-compressed GIF files?
I think for now and the future (until the lhz patent runs out) we should use PNG. And, afaik IE6 can render transparent GIFs properly.

Uh, whenever I am in Windows, I use IE.. that doesn't mean I don't know anything about computers, right? and IE6 lollipops even more than IE4.. I'd refuse to install it. And just because somebody uses IE

bah.. it's still a major problem.. optimistically calculated, 50% of our visitors will use IE, imo.

Do we have access to stats on who uses our page, what browser etc?
Lets pimp Mozilla, see if the stats change

I could try to get the access logs for the YPN page and analyze them. I'll try it.
