Well, I haven't done much with Linux but I'm pretty sure the following is possible, I just wanna know for sure so that I don't mess up the whole family-network
Mandrake 7.2 comes with an "Internet Connection Sharing" feature so a little software-router.
Now, what I've experienced with the Windos-Software-router that comes with Win 98 SE or later is that it can't route any other PCs traffic then the ones who also run Win.
So my question is, will Linux route my family's Windoze-PCs?

I use to have Red hat 5.2 installed. I could not get online because there were no drivers for my modem. I upgrade to Red hat 6.1 and got some drivers, I could get online with Linux for about a week. Then the free isp I was using noticed I was not using there software and gave me a rather disturbing phone call. As soon as I get a real ISP I will be back online.

Modems modems modems =(
What did they say in that call? As long as you are their customer, and you pay for it...
Fsck them, that's anti-productive behaviour for a company

fsvara:
I think he doesn't pay for it (cuz he said it's a free ISP) , so he has to use the AD filled proggys for Win I think .... sure they'll give him a call if he "cheats" ...
