your task is to make a gui based operating system that will be able to fit onto 1 floppy disk (1.44mb) it must have support for 64bit colour mode and be able to run win32 win16 and linux/unix programs, it needs to have support for most drivers and directx... It needs to be able to copy cd's/dvd's without the help of third party software... It MUST include a bitmap making tool, a text editing tool and an internet explorer... (these must all be made for you)You will be marked on colourful-ness, file size and stability, one more thing, your os must has a bios... Now program, i will need you to give me proof of the OS's existance maybe in various screenshots or files, also you must prove you made it....

One problem, you can't code BIOS into an OS. That's something that sits on the motherboard (which I guess we won't be watching you eat )

ROFL 64 bit color! Yeah, let's see anyone do that. And the ability to run linux/unix programs, and windows programs from the OS? Heh, I might attempt this if I had 6 years and a good paycheck, but just to have you eat a motherboard, there's no way. This isn't a contest, it's a lame joke.
EDIT: No OS, except windows, is even close to having DirectX supposrt. The WINE program (which uses windows files, so it couldn't be counted anyway) doesn't even support Direct3D.
EDIT: And considering you don't know the first thing about how this works(hence all of the foolish mistakes), I doubt you have an example, either. By the way, DirectX itself takes up more than 1 floppy, so blah.
