in icq if you use that you have emoticons you know what these are!
these emoticons are also called smileys.
When you install ICQ you put a folder with smileys on to your HD got that ?
and then you can (but you shouldnt) change them into smileys f.e. which show you a dead man or so ...........

He does actually. You don't have to be mean to someone just because he doesn't explain well enough (or because he asks stupid questions in your definition).
His problem is that if he changes the emoticon locally, and sends a msg to someone, that person won't see his personalized emoticon.
Moon: too bad, I think you can't do that at all.

if you extract/copy them properly you shouldn't have any problems. if you still have, trash ICQ, or get a good irc client (like lICQ or something)

hm, lICQ lollipoped for me.. most of the time my friends didn't even get the messages. and it couldn't connect through port 80 :/. hehe

GnomeICU also isn't bad

licq is pretty cool, but yeah, sometimes it drops messages... has been happening less frequently lately tho. (probably apt-get's achievement )

I never used ICQ lately, so I dunno how licq and gnomeICU have developed... but I've heard that jabber is also kind of useful
