What's the deal with no gamedev forum? I'm sure many of you would be interested in learning about it - or even teaching. Hell, there's even an AI forum - which appears to be there simply because it'd be 'cool'. *mumbles*

I agree with core.
We have 1 or 2 peoples in the YPN actually knowing abit about AIs, but we have way more people in the YPN interested in coding games, or maybe already experienced in it.
I highly agree on creating a gamedev section, in the forum, as well as on the Page itself to submit code etc.

I'm slightly experienced and would be able to teach people the basics of win32 game coding in areas such as DirectX, and a handful of other win32 rendering APIs. Also, I could do some allegro work - a free portable library. Naturally, I'd still want to be able to learn more, though.

Y'know - that'd be a good idea, but it doesn't seem (to me, with an opinion tht doesn't matter) that the other programming forums get enough traffic that posts about game design get lost among the shuffle or anything - that'd be (IMHO) the only reason for a new forum.

I'm working on an Age of Empires\Civilization\Capitalism game. I'm still working on designs at the moment. My bro, who is a whiz with computer graphics, is, surprise surprise, making the graphics, and I'll be the lone coder. The projected finish date is sometime next summer.
