Does anyone know of a good ASP/SQL environment that is free?

Eh, I guess you are referring to 'free by price' here, and not free as Richard Stallman describes it (www.gnu.org/philosophy). Well, for SQL you can use the MySQL which has an open source license and thereby is not free as RMS defines it. I don't know too much about the license of PostgreSQL, but that should be free by price, too.
As for the ASP envirnoment, I know one, but I forgot the name. I'll search for it and post it here once I find it.

AH er... I just saw your topic said 'Hosting' ==)

Well, I guess you could try digitalrice, www.digitalrice.com. We at YPN had a hard time finding a good hosting service, and have come to the result that there is no such thing as we need it for free.

You could take a look at our 34sp.com. Though it isn't free, it is very cheap, and it offers good functionality.
