Hi all,

I have a bit of advice, NEVER announce new projects on Usenet, too much criticism.
Some idiots didn't like my UNIX shell so they make up a load of crap to make me and my project look bad.
I had to fight back, sady...

Hope everyone's OK, and that all your projects are doing well.

Thanks,
ComWizz.

rob_ert: I heard that you have stopped making your programming language, and you have to re-make it from scratch? Damn! Hope you finish it soon!
Flikm: u never told me u were Korean! Cool...

OK, thanks,
ComWizz.

I agree with sacah, come to IRC

About your shell, they may be rude, but I'm not so sure they're entirely wrong. A UNIX shell in a scripting language maybe isn't such a good idea. At least it's not of any use, although that's not very important.

About my scripting language, I've told you to use cnasica, it's my best intepreter so far.

/me is happy about himself not making scripting languages

I can't come onto IRC all the time, I have technical difficulties with my Linux box.

robert: A scripting language in another scripting language isn't too bad,
I heard of a Lisp interpreter made in Awk...
If there was a compiler for Perl. though, that would make it better.

A UNIX shell in a scripting language isn't a bad idea, and yes they are wrong.
Others have made UNIX shells in Perl before...

Thanks...

aren't there shells out there that are good enough already?
If it's not about that, and just a project for a laugh, then surely anything is a good idea?

Yes, there is, although it only defines 13 built-in functions, so, it's nothing really serious. I think it's somethin close to the Lisp that was defined by JMC in the late-50's. You can grab the source from the CMU AI repository.
