Yes, we have!
The PHP Engine of the YPN will be oficially called "Partyfish" from the next generation on.
Moxx and me are currently working hard on this to get it done as fast as possible, but still as good as possible. If you have ideas, post them here and tell us what you would like to see in the new engine! We will appreciate every idea (if it is useful that is )

I'm actually also working on the project.. more precisely the projects section module . School is quite hard on me at the moment though.

As it is software, we do not have a completion date. Or am I the only one who never saw complete software?
But, we'll release the engine GPLed soon. It'll still take at least until the end of this month until we will use it as the YPN engine.

Hmm...I guess you do not right now...the problem is, that you will have to do it again as soon as we release partyfish, because you will then have to adjust the templates and stylesheets you want to use.
