Hey, I'm 14. That doesn't stop me from being one of the better programmers on here though...

To what extent?
Posted by C_Rdd on 06:03:00 10-04-2003
Till you disprove the theory that "cowsarenotevil cannot program".

OK, that's very easy to do. I can program. That's probably not what you really meant, however. If you'd like examples, I can give an example.

...

If you'd like a more detailed description of what languages, API's, platforms, and Operating Systems I have expierience, please be so kind as to send me a private message. Thank you.

Well, it wasn't what I meant, but I certainly ain't sure that you are one of the "better" programmers on here.

"Happy Birthday!" is figuratively what it meant...word for word it means something more like "Birthday congradulations very" [maybe not exact, but close].

What are you talking about? I don't see you making an OS out of your room. And how many people can make a good program without vb? (No offense dxprog - you're leearning asm)

I'm pretty sure C_Rdd can make a good program without using VB. As much as I am sure I can make a good program using Java, C/C++ or whatever...

If programmers start comparing their skills like that, things are gonna get intolerable in this forum. [addsig]

To be perfectly honest, the only thing I've ever written in VB is a web browser, and a simple one at that. I am a hundred times more comfortable writing a GUI in Java (and I mean hand-coding, not using a J++ wizard). As for OSDEV, I looked into it a while back and decided my time would be better spent elsewhere. If you want to know who the better programmers are here, it's probably Neumann and Smerdyakov.

/me hereby declares this discussion over

I think my grass shows that I can program as well as 50% of the people here, so by that logic, yes, I am. Also, you seem to have misunderstood me. I said if there's anything else you'd like to know, private message me. You trying to convince people that I can't program and therefor shouldn't be an admin is not the topic of this thread. Again, if there's anything else you'd like to know, I'd happily answer you in a private message. Thank you.

Seems this topic has gone waaaaaaay too far off topic. And if my mini comment (which was a joke) started this whole fight, sorry cow . And for those of you who think he shouldn't be an admin, ask yourself, which one has answered more questions? You, or him? Which one is more active? You, or him? [addsig]

Does more active mean he posts more. Or does more active mean he contributes more? Should I respond with a post to every thread, even though I may have nothing extra that is useful to add, just for the sake of increasing my post count?

If you had taken the time to look at the member list, you'd see that I've contributed two documents. You, however, haven't added one. Also, just the mere fact that I'm actually here often means that I'm capable of performing moderation and maintanance tasks, where someone who isn't can't. And as far as I can tell, from looking at my post history, I haven't made any posts merely to increase my post card.

And also, for the third time, if you doubt my skills and ability to be an administrator private message or e-mail me.
