wtf.. are you making fun of us?

a real hacker (in my definition) is something like the guy from "The Swordfish".
all other's are just bunch of nerds that feel better when they solve their real life traumas by destroying someones property.
(altrough i support destroying of child pornography and similar sites).

I think it was called Project Carnivore or smth...

For the record - in spite of the unrealisticness (is that a word? it is now) of the movie - I thought it was great - I own it...

I'll seek a bit around for it

henning: you _are_ trolling, right? you don't mean what you say seriously?

Btw, as far as I know, there is a big station known as Echelon that is filtering a lot of the world's e-mail traffic for terrorist/criminal mails etc. Read it in a book about cryptography.
Posted by KaGez on 15:33:00 02-08-2002
wow, never knew that... so when I put something like "For the next bombing raid on Saturday 5th July" in the Subject it will be filtered out? have to trie that right away!

yeah, that's a trick that people (especially the tech savvy ones, ) use, just put dangerous words at the end of every email, to confuse things like carnivore, to protect your privacy...

Terrorist afghanistan bomb sarin anthrax kill usa

well i noticed that if you ask ALICEBOT :
"Do you know Osama Bin Laden." She answers :
"Is he a friend of yours?"

and if you ask for some other name she reply's other things.
so imho we cant even dream how small our privacy is/will become

A hacker is someone that can take a system, analyze it and learn all that is learnable about it. To Take that system and try to make it do things that it wasnt designed to do and make it better.

Hmm, there are different types of hackers.

-Old School Hackers [Primary focus is programming]

-Moder Hackers [Primary focus is system security, either for good or bad]

-Grey Hat [Pretty much do what they want, main focus is exploring computers but also for prankish type reasons]

-Script Kiddy [Unknowledgeable, undeveleoped, Cracker, uses much programs to try and hack]

-Cracker [Hacks for destructive purposes]

Im a mix between 'Grey Hat' And 'Cracker' lol

About Cracker and Hacker, I think I've read somewhere that a Cracker is actually a reverse engineer who studies what actually happens behind the scenes of a computer app or anything of the sort.

And Hacker has the negative meaning which means someone intented to destroy data or to sneak into other's privacy, or to do illegal things with the computer.

Why dont u look upon a good dictionary and clarify the point (pls..)

ping localhost
goto start

It's guarenteed to crash the target server. Go on, run it! ... right...
