I also took a lok at the some weeks ago , but it didn't really looked too good ... only some actual libraries and stuff ... only for those "I have to have a cutting-edge system !!" peoples ...
maybe you can take a look at http://www.byolinux.com .... build it yourself linux .... I found another one some days ago , but can't find the bookmark now (

well, what actually looked so cool about gentoo linux to me is the improved FreeBSD-style ports system for installing new software.
