All i want is no popups or banners(ok a small image/link on all pages is fine aslong as i can add it to the pages), high or unlimited bandwidth, ability to upload whatever file types i want and a nice amount of space. Anything else i'm not bothered about!
I'm going to eventually be uploading a lot of source code, games and tutorials to my website if i can find a server.
btw i didn't reply to the other thread about free webspace as i didnt think people would take much notice of that thread anymore..

I use Tripod UK. They offer free MySQL and PHP. they have "floating" banners. But, try Portland.co.uk they have no adds...but their FTP and servers seems not to always work.

use hostultra.com its not very well known but that is i suppose a good thing, it supports php and you have UNLIMITED space!

Why don't you try here...it is very inexpensive and you get a lot of stuff..for only 36 bucks you get a year of webhosting. The best things in life cost money my friend the secret is to cut down on the costs.

Portland has always been my favorite because they allow hotlinking and no adds, but if you need to host a messageboard, another option is myjspace.com, but it doesn't always work reliably.

I like FreeWebs, but you do have to add a mini banner to your page, you can't run PHP, Perl, and they don't offer MySQL (which means I wouldn't use them ), and they are strict on everything.
