The bubbling cauldron >> For all you people that are _-13 and are very annoyed by adult programmers

Just for reference, I'm 12. I just got put down by this guy that's supposedly a guru in C++ when i asked him a question. He said, "You are to young to understand that stuff." I wanted to blow his guts out. Why can't they give us some RESPECT? Even those that ask "What is a compiler" ignores me. This just ticked me off. I'm sorry for this post, had to let it out . . . .

Haha, I've never met any programmers treating me like that, but in school they often say like that

They think something like "He's too smart, we have to do something about it".

btw, when I were 12 I haven't met any programmers, I didn't have any good internet connection The first 4 years of programming I didn't have anyone to ask about programming stuff.

Never ever let anyone put you down just because of your age. <impish grin> They're just bitter that they couldn't do as much when they were that young.

Besides - if you act mature, if you talk mature, if you're clear-headed and confident - who can tell the difference?

If someone puts you down, go to there house and bash their brains in with a very large unix manual. That way they will remember the day they told you off.
