My favorite's PHP.
PHP is nice because of its unmatched ability to communicate with databases. It's also a lot easier to maintain than something like Perl/CGI.

PHP because it is simple enough for people with little knowladge to use but powerful enough to get the job done, you can create images and flash animations with it and provides lots of security the only downfull i know of is that it wasts time at the server because it processes there not at the clients computer

That is where you are wrong, my friend. That is the beauty of SSS. If you've noticed JavaScripts are slow and where do they run? On the client's computer. Besides, servers are made to take heavy processing like that. Professional ones anyways.

i suppose but its time that could be used for other things, and if ur usoing free hosting thats really crap and slow its really bad cause the pages take even loger to load, im glad that i can use my cousins homemade server
