It won't work at all. Grr.

Have you registered (YPNgine isn't using the YPN db)? [addsig]

Figured out the problem. Account activation isn't working at the moment (another thing, you can't sign in until your account has been activated, which means you need a valid e-mail address). The problem is in the server, not the code, so things should get fixed rather quickly. I'll let you know when the problem is fixed [addsig]

Yeah, upon activation it redirected to here rather than the YPEngine page...

Just replace the www.youngprogrammers.net with kage-chan.homelinux.net [addsig]

Here's a copy of the e-mail I recieved upon signing up on the ypengine page:

Quote:
Welcome to the YPN.
Before you can start using all services that the YPN page offers, you
have to
verify your account. To do so, simply follow the link below. All further
instructions will be given to you on the Activation-page itself.

http://www.youngprogrammers.net/index.php?main=register&action=activate&actid=4

The informations for your account are as follows:
Username: cowsarenotevil
Password: ********

Please make sure that you don't give this information to anybody. If you
do so,
it could render your account unusable.

Thank you for signing up.
We all wish you a good time, and lots of fun with the YPN.

Sicerely,
The YPN Administration Team

Now I'm confused. It still didn't work, so I had it send me a temporary password, which also didn't work (whimper).

OK, I at least got logged in, but there are some major errors... I try to change my password back to what I wanted it to be and it returns errors...
Posted by dxprog on 08:48:00 09-16-2003
What errors exactly? [addsig]
Posted by cowsarenotevil on 08:53:00 09-16-2003

BLAST! I thought I'd had all that fixed . I'll see what the deal is today. [addsig]

Hmmm, I didn't have any problems changing my password. :-\ Maybe your db entry is screwed up I'll be submitting the next version of YPNgine to KaGez today, so that'll hopefully get fixed. [addsig]

I FIGURED OUT THE PROBLEM!!! It wasn't just you. An ICQ number wasn't being passed and that messed up the whole query. To bypass the problem, just set ICQ number to 0 (This is already fixed in the next release) [addsig]
