lol, i haven't been here since a loooong time, and dudes, it looks like there is quite a few members signed up... i like that. Well, i don't want to come here and start critisizing, but i mean, instead of working against ppl u guys should work together... but i think i'd better stop talking now, since i have no idea whats been going on lately... anyway, i'll be here more often now, since my school is about to end... and i can now spend more time here, and maybe give advice to ppl wanting to get more into the "graphic" site of programming... i said it before, but i think then the board got flushed or so... anyway, my new hobby is making 3D art and characters with 3D tools like Bryce, Carrera, 3D Studio Max.... or Photoshop... its fun, and it can be used if a game is programmed or a interface has to be created..

Yeah, you don't know what happened so don't assume that we "work against people". I think everyone should try to be tolerant, but enough is enough (no matter what lead to it).

Cool, stick around, and write some tuts on 3d images or st. I'd need some 3d studio tuts .

I'm gonna start out with simple Adobe Photoshop 6.0 tutorials, and then i'm gonna go into the more DEEEP bryce and 3D studio max ones... cuz its getting pretty hard with getting the texture onto the wiremodel of a creature or so, cuz u gotta tell the machine onto which square or tryangle of the creature the texture should go... well, i can show u some of my work, too, i can post some pics here...

For professional 3d progs that work on linux, there's Maya...

Less known ones are moonlight, blender.

Maya isn't free , but it rox though . Blender is a bit complicated to use but it is free and has loads of features only 3DS MAX got =)
you gotta choose if you want funcitionality or if you want a easy to use (but useless) environment ... same like Win and Linux . Win is like Maya (expensive) and Blender like Linux (free , and even better ) .
