Hmm... When talking about building your own computer, you often mean building a PC. But wouldn't it be fun making a new kind of cumputer? Buying the cheapest hardware you can get, like an old z80 CPU, some cheap RS232 serial port, different small chips needed, a small LCD display, and connecting a keyboard to that. You would have to write all programs in assembler, and copy them to the computer from a PC with a serial cable, but I think it would be fun having a computer model and a home-made OS of my own, that nobody else have =)
(I just wanted to say this)

KaGez: I would just like to have a clean computer, without any BIOS or something. And I should know everything about that computer, so I could write small games, and maybe also an OS =) I would be the only one having such a computer, and there would be NO programs for it, I would have to do it from scracth. Hmmm.. but you're right. I couldn't use it for much. But your 3D cube can't be user for much either, so don't complain . I guess you wrote it for learning (and for fun), and if I built a computer, I would also do it for learning and for fun =)
