As I write, 141 votes have been counted for the poll, 127 votes for "Huh?".
Two things make me a bit insecure about whether to count these as unique votes:
a) It would be slightly incredible that almost half of our members visit the site during these 24 hours (although I would be very happy).
b) Consider the following scenario: half of our members visit the website, great. They all notice the new poll. Even more great. But then most of them don't seem to understand the question?
Although I reserve the right to be wrong, it seems like somebody has been voting "huh?" way more than 1 time. I'm quite disappointed about this; instead of appreciating the fact that I moved my lazy ass and created a new poll, you spoil it. Whoever that might be.
I'll make the poll a members only function, where each member can vote only once.

I think most of us though that it would be such a "advanced" poll and voted only 1 time... why should one vote more times on a poll?

Oh, jez. This is just a simple poll-script I wrote in half an hour. I didn't really think people would be such assholes that they spoil it by voting more than once! I mean, the point of this poll is to see what other people think about a given question, NOT to form a majority! Drop that stupid democratic idea (j/k)

maybe you can make a extra row in the user table and keep track if he/she/it voted or not and reset it everytime you put up a new poll. easy to program, and no cookie, what else do we want?

but if we don't use the cookie, you'd have to enter your member name and password at the poll..you don't want that.
and besides, using our cookie is far easier.. I'll fix it as soon as I get the time

first you say you want it members only, and now not again? what now?
