fabs said 'a lot of people' were angry at me for
(1) trying to move to openprojects
(2) "telling fabs sasq2 development goes too slow", or something likle that
Here are my answers:
(1)
I know trying to move to openprojects maybe wasn't a very good idea, and I'm sorry if I made you angry. I know you had lots to do with sasq2, but I don't know why you didn't
a) register #ypn on openprojects, and set stuff up, would take 15 mins
b) change the topic in #ypr on chatjunkies to "we've moved to ***".
I couldn't, and still I can't understand why, so I created the chan #ypn on openprojects myself. That's why. What you told me at that time is that you should wait until all ops came home, but when I had dropped #ypn, you registered it and moved, before svara came home...
(2)
I have not said I think you're doing a bad job/working too slow/are dumb or anything like that. I came with a few suggestions, that was what I could do to help with sasq2, because I don't know PHP/MySQL. You've told me it would be too much work with a projects section, and that members maybe could do it instead. KaGez is already working on it. I don't se what (if) I've done something wrong!

hmmm, i seem to have missed a problem here...

You haven't done anything wrong, Robert.
The only thing was when I got a bit frustrated over the new channel. But that was because you never asked us if we were planning to move, and you didn't tell us you intended to create a new channel - hence the confusion.
Then again I agree that it wasn't totally clear why/how the channel eventually was created without the ops being home. I agreed with Fabs that we would wait, but I guess he did something similar to you, Robert, he didn't see the point in waiting.. It's of course another story that #ypr was registered just because #ypn was occupied with, uh, a bot...
So that's a pointless discussion now.
About Sasquatch development, I am not a great fan of fast-pace work and strict deadlines, but I know teamwork has to be coordinated to some extent. We have received some good ideas from you and I appreciate that.
I know that none of us can concentrate on Sasquatch development as much as we'd like to. (Here I have to point out I am basically out of Sasq development as Fabs does it. I will contribute but I haven't done enough on Sasquatch 2 so far to say I am a part of the current development. That would be unfair towards Fabs who really put down his soul in it. I am doing the messageboard though). I would say it's better not to push the tempo and feel satisfied than the opposite.
It's coming though.
I, for one, am not angry at you for any reason, Robert.

hey peter, maybe you could write a tutorial on how to get your own mIRC channel, because i need to create one for personal reasons. As you said, one thats not a bot if you write that tutorial, i promise, it'll be rated 5 by me cuz i really need to know how i can make a channel where people can join in and talk when i'm not there... and sorry if this is in the General YPN section... its too late now to go to off topic...

It's "IRC" channel not "mIRC" channel.
Anyway, there's no need for a tutorial on that on some networks, like chatjunkies, you just have to ask a server operator (as opposed to channel operator). You can find a list of server operators usually in the welcome message of the server. Or there might be a designated server ops channel.
In most IRC networks, however, there is chanserv, and registering a chan is automatic.
Chanserv is a program that pretends to be an irc user, and you can send commands to it over PM (private message).
So, when a network uses chanserv, what you have to do is join the channel you want to have, "/join #channel" and type
"/msg chanserv REGISTER #channel password This is the channel."
That command would register the chan #channel with the admin password "password" and have the description be "This is the channel".
That's all
Btw, it's not the chan being a bot, it's s user in the chan being one. The problem with having a bot in an unregistered chan is that the bot will automatically get op and thereby prevent users from registering the channel.

You people and your pixel_bot bashing. I was keeping him there to lay down the law. Since we have relyed soly on DC for his god-like presence.

^pixel: we don't blame you. We are not blaming your bot either. What I was saying is, it was not very necessary to register #ypr just because your bot was in #ypn... Another day's wait wouldn't have harmed anybody.
But still, I am NOT blaming anybody.
