If Religious Colleges Taught Programming...

This is how I want to die. To be murdered by my favorite villain from my favorite game would totally make my day... as long as I'm already old or something. Be sure to check out Square Headed. It updates on Thursdays, but is currently updated three days a week while in story arc mode.
On an interesting note, my last name is actually supposed to be pronouced "Hawk-mann".
It's been some time since I have updated this blog. So I take leave of my busy life, if only for a moment, to fill you, the reader, in on the various happenings and goings on. (Okay, that's enough eighteen hundreds talk).
So, Christmas has come and gone (as it always does) and I am now back into the thick of school. Luckily, I don't have all sucky courses this month. No, I only have one. However, let's put the good news before the bad, shall we?
ADG
Advanced Computer Graphics, or ADG, is probably the second best course I've had thus far (NOS being number one). ADG is, more or less, a Photoshop/Illustrator class. DCG was also this to a slight degree, but more emphasis was placed on the actual design as opposed to technical issues. Now, however, we're in the thick of opacity masks, and layer styles, and blah, blah, blah. Actually, believe it or not, I've become more comfortable in Illustrator than I am in Photoshop. The pen tool, simply put, is the most brilliant thing since aged cheese. But don't take my word for it, take my art:

It should be duly noted that the NES is not, in fact, a photograph. Nor was it some fancy job I did in Photoshop. No, it was done completely in Illustrator and, vector graphics being what they are, is infinitely scalable. The advertisement, however, is not. Oh, and speaking of which, I realize that the NES is pushing twenty-three.
My other course is geometry and I will leave you simply with this: proofs can burn in Hell.
One thing I'd like to say real quick: iPod Touch is the best PDA ever created. I know. I own one. Damn you Apple, damn you.
My site is still riding on a wave of hits from the Rock Band drums thing way back when, but I've had another surge in popularity thanks to this guy. He's created one nicely polished drum kit app and has kindly linked back to my page. It'd be wrong for me not to return the favor.
Finally, while I'm throwing out links, be sure to check out the newly revamped Game Boyz. While you're at it, why don't you sign up on the forums and tell my bro how awesome the comic is.
Well, that should appease the masses for the well being. I write these posts in hope that somebody is reading them, however, even if it just serves as a chronicle of my life for me to read later, then so be it. It's deep tomes of history have already provided me with hours of cringing agony. May it continue to do so in this grand a glorious new year.
If you've played Strikers you'll no where I'm coming from.
Alright, here's the links to all the latest comics:
Did You Really Think That'd Work?
I found a slight error in my previous statement about the Britons. Patrick Stewart. He's more awesome than most Americans.
I may post a comic later today, but maybe I won't. Last night I got everything drawn, scanned, colored, etc. and when it came to writing down the dialog I realized the joke was not funny. So, I will give you guys the artwork I drew instead because I still like that. Well, I like how I drew Wedge, anyways.
I didn't take out the text bubbles so you, my readers, can use your wild imaginations and pretend there is writing in them and that it is funny.
I continue my little comic rampage with this installment. I'm not thrilled with the artwork but I love the writing so it balances out in the end. A little bit of TMI here, but I got this idea whilst showering. Goes to show you, ideas will come at just about anytime.
Stay tuned next week when Tom Nook is hanged for his unforgivable crimes.
Holy fish, Batman! Two comics within a week! As can be seen my inks have vastly improved over my last endeavor. I'm really pleased with how this turned out. Even the musculature looks decent. The only thing lacking, and this goes for most all my comics, is the lack of background scenery in panels 1 and 4. But I'm not complaining.
Oh, since you can probably get Crackdown cheap at used game stores, you should pick up a copy. It's an awesome game. I actually had more fun playing that than I did the Halo 3 beta (mainly because I suck at Halo).
Haven't made one of these in a while. I was digging through some of my old stuff the other day and found my little comic ideas notebook. I always did like this one and I'm not sure why I never made it. This and Pikachunks were actually written at the same time and were supposed to "air" back to back. But, anyhoo...
Since I can't use Photoshop anymore and since GIMP sucks I had to ink the comic by hand. BY HAND! Actually, it turned out a lot better than I thought it would. Not to say that it is without problems but it works.
This is probably the longest running story arc I've had yet. Hooray for character development.
I haven't been posting the links for the recent comics lately. Shame on myself and shame on you for not subscribing to the RSS feed.
Enjoy... or not. Whatever floats your boat.
Starting today I'm off hiatus. There'll be a few changes however. Firstly, Jimmy's that guy in the middle. His hair is much easier to draw now. Secondly, that would be Mary on the right. These two things were the main reason I went on hiatus. Thirdly, there'll be a format change. I'm going to do more story arcs instead of weak jokes and sad parodies. Finally, I'll be going with a every Wednesday update. Now that I'm full time at Wal-Mart it's difficult to update twice a week. I figure I should also be able to keep this up once I'm in college in the fall.
I had to come off hiatus to bring you that comic. My Photoshop trial is up so I'm having to resort to more archaic methods of drawing at the moment. Btw, the new Spider-man 3 sneak peak has restored some faith in me that it won't suck.
In my opinion, the best artwork I've done to date. Not necessarily the best joke ever, but it was good enough to hit the Joystiq poll so I call it even.
I'm sorry. I did a Michael Jackson joke. Please forgive me.
